Weaverville artist Jerry Cousins made a gift to the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival this week - a hand-made music stand. The stand features a small bird in the woodworking technique called "marquetry", where small pieces of wood veneers are inlaid together to form beautiful designs. The musicians of the festival are lifted by Jerry's inspiring gift - everyone wants to use this beautiful music stand for their musical performances. Plans are being made for this to be at item for a future fund-raising auction, but in the meanwhile you might be able to see it at one of our performances! When people consider making a donation to our organization, many choose something different from a cash contribution. This kind of variety has made for rich experiences for all our musicians.
