The inaugural season of the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival continued this week with two more special concerts. Audiences came to the two performances in Weaverville and Hyampom sorely needing a break from the hectic July 4 weekend, which was packed with activities.
The first concert on July 5 was in the meadow and flower garden next door to the Highland Art Center, where no less than ten musicians treated them to a program of classical masterpieces, by Mozart, Brahms, Beethoven, Dvorak, Devienne, and Arriaga. The show was in collaboration with Highland Art Center's summer art show entitled "Let's Go Outside!", and the special outdoor concert was a perfect embodiment of that summer spirit. They also presented two educational outreach programs, at the Weaverville Summer Day Camp and the Camp Trinity / Bar 717 Summer Camp, and a performance at the Hyampom Community Hall for an audience of 60 locals and visitors.
